School History
Edison Middle School was founded in 1925.
Edison Middle School was first built in 1925 originally named Park Jr. High. In 1932, the school name changed to Edison Junior High. A new school building in 1985 brought Edison Jr. High to it's current name, Edison Middle School.
Edison is located in the East of Downtown Houston by Magnolia Park. Magnolia Park is an area of the East End, Houston, Texas, located near the Houston Ship Channel. One of the oldest Hispanic neighborhoods in the City of Houston, Magnolia Park was formerly incorporated as the City of Magnolia Park in eastern Harris County.
Currently, our school serves 400 students.
